On Saturday, January 31, 2009 (1-31) at 1:31 pm we welcomed our daughter, Anna Yoder Schrock into the world. She weighed in at 6 pounds 13 ounces and was 18 inches long. She is beautiful and healthy and we are so grateful for her safe arrival. The labor and delivery was much easier than the one with Noah and for that we are very grateful too. Things all started to get under way at about 4 am and they moved quickly so by 5 am we were on our way to the hospital. In another few short hours Anna was here. It really was a great experience overall.
Time for one last belly pic before heading to the hospital at 5 am.
Mandy and Anna just seconds after birth.

Anna resting later that day after Mommy finally agreed to put you down for a second.
The new family. Noah came to visit Anna later on Saturday afternoon.
Video of Noah's first meeting with Anna. He was and continues to be very sweet with her.
Visits from Uncle Matt, Grandpa Tom, Grandma June, and Grandpa John. Grandma Ruth was out of town on Anna's birthday but she got home the next day and saw you as soon as she could.
Noah is helping by giving Jon Anna's blanket.
Time with Grandma June. She's wearing pink this week in honor of Anna.
Anna snoozes in Grandpa John's arms.

Anna and Grandpa John. He is smitten.
Back at home 24 hours after the birth Anna and Noah share a moment in the pack-n-play.
Noah feeds his baby with his special pillow while Mandy feeds Anna with the boppy. Too cute!

Congrats guys! Glad to hear everything went so well.
I’m been checking the blog for pics about 30 times a day since Saturday! She is so beautiful! And Noah is clearly an incredible big brother. I love the one of him feeding his baby while Anna is nursing. So precious. Eliza will teach Anna how to pull barrettes out of her hair just as soon as Anna grows enough hair to keep them in! Congratulations on the arrival of your bundle of joy!

Congratulations! Anna is just beautiful and she has a lovely name (which was also on our list before we settled on Sarah). Hope you all settle in well. I loved the nursing photo too!
