February Misc

DADDY-DAUGHTER DANCE
Somewhere, somehow Anna heard about the Parks Department Daddy-Daughter dance and since last summer she has wanted to go with her dad. So this February, they did. It was a huge occasion for Anna. She got to pick where they ate supper, ride in the truck, paint her fingernails, and go to the dance with her dad. Anna danced more than Jon did, but they both had fun. Anna talked nonstop for 20 minutes about it all. It was a hit. Also, Anna picked out her dress for the occasion. She was in pink, poufy heaven.

I WANT TO BE LIKE DADDY
One day we needed for the kids to go to the hospital with Jon as he saw patients. They don't do this very often at all so it was a big deal for them. They each dressed up like dad--each in one of the ways he sometimes dresses for work. Noah wore a tie and Anna wore scrubs. Anna even wanted a name badge like Jon has. Too funny. Off they went. Jon said they behaved pretty well and that he even took them in to see one of the patients that he knew would receive them well.

BASKETBALL FANATIC
Noah is so into basketball. As soon as we got home from our trip to Michigan, he was out in the driveway shoveling so that he could play. What a kid.
