Today I messed up. It wasn't anything big. I just spaced Anna's parent-teacher conference and had to move a few things around to make everything work this afternoon. But, I was bummed. I felt bad. I was upset with myself. So I was verbalizing my disappointment as we drove to get Noah when Anna piped up from the back seat with the most loving voice you can imagine and said, "Mom, it's okay. Everybody makes mistakes sometimes. It's okay, Mom."
And, she's right. We all mess up sometimes, and it really is okay. So true, Anna. Thanks for reminding me.
