Here are two videos of Noah walking to me taken last week (Feb 11). As you can see I get pretty excited about him taking these steps (some of the first on his own). I'd say he'd been taking a few steps on his own for maybe about a week before we shot the video but not much more than that. It is amazing to see how many more steps he is able to take this week than last week when the video was shot. He's doing more steps and he's initiating letting go of our hands when we walk with him and he's letting go of furniture and getting much more daring by walking between things that are farther and farther apart. He falls sometimes but that's part of the deal. Watching his development over this first year has been one of the most amazing experiences of our lives. There is just always something new and miraculous that he's doing and learning. And for those of you wondering why in the world we have an exercise bike in our entryway...we're moving it out to get the house ready to sell and that's as far as its gotten. (:>) Did I mention how big of a pain moving is? Ahh, reflections for another time...

What a big boy! We are at about the same stage with Mara. She is willing to let go for just 2 or 3 steps and is very proud of herself. Soon he'll be running around the house!
