The last weekend in April my college friend crew (plus babies) gathered here in Indy at our house for our annual weekend of fun. Since this is the last year Jessica and I will live here we really wanted to host the gang in our fair city to let them see our town and our homes. It was a great weekend together as always. The only difference from previous years is that this year we had 5 children 13 months and under. Seriously, last year for our gathering in January we had zero babies (well 3 were in the oven), and this year we had five. It was a weekend of fun, but how do I say this...well, it was a different kind of gathering this year. We've never been a crew to hit the clubs or stay out all that late even without kids. We much prefer to stay in most of the time just eating and talking, but this year we were even more a bunch of home bodies than usual. Below you will see the babies from oldest to youngest (L to R) on the couch on Sunday night at Jess and Phil's: Noah Schrock, Emerson Landis, Henry Wagler, Eliza Herber, Sasha Smucker. Aren't they just the cutest bunch of kids?

Mandy reads a story to the boys in the morning.
Here we are right before leaving our house for a few hours for a baby-free dinner out. Jon, Phil Smucker, and Breck Herber babysat for all 5 kids while we went out and had a lovely, relaxing, adult-conversation-filled meal. It was delightful and so special. Thanks Jon! Thanks Phil! Thanks Breck! You are the best!
Below are a few pix from when we put the boys in the tub together. They were just too cute.
Here Noah stands (as he always does in the tub, heaven help us) while Emerson claws at his big belly and Henry looks on in terror.

While the boys are bathing, the girls (Eliza and Sasha) are chillin' on the couch downstairs. Sooo cute!

Auntie Amy and Auntie Minda play with Eliza and Henry in our backyard.

Having a bit of a snack on Saturday to hold us over until our dinner out.

Hitting a few garage sales around our neighborhood on Saturday.
Dinner together at our house Friday night.

Just a tast of what the weekend was like.

What an adventure!! Your weekend looks so much fun. Our group of college girlfriends started this tradition a few years ago but we're aiming for every other year right now because of schedules, families, etc. Those times together are priceless. I hope you can keep in up over the next 50 years or so. :)
So fun! What great memories. That picture in the living room full of babies and adults makes me laugh because it looks like it's almost chaos but it never felt that way.
I had also missed Emerson hitting Noah on the head with that cup in the group picture, but I'd seen Jess' version with Noah crying and didn't know why he was crying. Ha!
