Life...what a trip

We just got back yesterday from a week-long trip with the MYF to Chicago where we served, worshipped, reflected, and had fun together. It was a great time! It's so sad to be leaving these kids, but I keep thinking about all of the new kids and youth we'll be getting to know at Belmont soon, and that is exciting. We left Noah with the Schrock grandparents in Goshen for the entire week. I was a wreck at first having never left him for more than 2 nights and having NEVER left him without at least one of us overnight EVER. But he did great and we did okay too. It's kinda sad that we had to go through the pain of leaving him and then not even get to be in Hawaii or something just the 2 of us, but oh well. We had fun anyway. And reuniting with Noah was great. I'm not leaving him again for a very long time.

Well, only 2 more weeks in the small, smelly, dark, apartment. The new house is not perfect by any means. It needs some work to get it to where we want it, but it will be a huge improvement over where we are now. We're also really excited to start reconnecting with friends in the Gokartawakabend area and to make up for lost time going on dates with each other. Now that we know how well Noah does being put to bed by grandparents we're thinking at least once a month we should make time for a date night. Compared to 3 times out in 16 months that sounds pretty good.

Well, sorry still no posting with pictures. We don't have internet at the apartment and we're so busy with all the details of moving, saying good bye etc that we just don't have time to bring the laptop to the church to use the internet here etc. We promise to put up pictures of the wee one as soon as we move.

Hope you're all well.
